Jazz II is for students with prior ballet or jazz experience. Instructor approval is required to take Jazz II.
Jazz is a dance style that combines elements of ballet, modern, and African-based movement, focusing on rhythm, isolations, and expressive, dynamic movement.
In Keiki Jazz II, students build on the skills learned in earlier levels of dance with a focus on technique, coordination, and flexibility. They will practice more advanced steps and combinations while improving their timing and control.
This class helps dancers develop strength and accuracy through warmups, across-the-floor exercises, and choreography. It’s a great next step for students who want to continue growing in jazz and prepare for our Teens+Adult level classes.
